in 2019 we started looking for LGBTQ+ members that would like to be part of an editorial project.

Desde acá is a non-profit editorial independent project based in Mexico made with the intention of commemorating the 42nd anniversary of LGBTQ + Pride in Mexico. (Yeah, we just started 42 years ago).

The online publication contains letters and portraits of people that were part of this project. We can find all kind of letters: Coming out letters, letters for them when they were kids, open letters for parents and LGBTQ+ kids, letters for ex-lovers, etc.

There is diversity in our community. You will find Chefs, designers, models, lawyers, drag queens, police officers, pedagogues, psychologists, artists, dancers, flight attendants, writers, and even “Lucha libre” wrestlers in it.

“Being in the closet is your right and we all respect it. We want you to know that when you decide coming out we’ll be here waiting for you”.

Desde acá is a project full of pride and social responsibility with the next generations, it will allow those that still in the closet feeling secure, knowing that when they decide their moment to come out they’ll open the door and will find a loving, caring, open, diverse, empathic and free community.
